Top 5 Most Entertaining YouTube Videos from 2008

YouTube is one of my guilty pleasures. I have a confession to make. Netflix does not do it for me, and somehow my brick and mortar video rentals have tapered off last year, thanks partly to these videos:

5. Bill O’Reilly Uses the F-word.
In an early clip of Bill O’Reilly on Inside Edition, people are treated to one of his few taped meltdowns. Nothing surprising with that, but it’s fun to watch O’Reilly in another flare-up. Please see the video below.

4. Tom Cruise on Scientology.
Everybody’s been suspecting it all along, but YouTube has the perfect proof of how off Tom Cruise is from his rocker. Speaking incoherently about Scientology, Cruise declares that Scientology “brings peace and unites cultures” and they were the “authorities of the mind.”

3. Yes We Can.
Nothing showed the power of YouTube more than will.I.am’s “Yes We Can” video, which has been widely praised and has been credited with helping Barack Obama win the elections.

2. Sarah Silverman’s BLEEPing Matt Damon.
This video has been forwarded to and shared by YouTube users countless of times. By now, everybody knows who she’s BLEEPing… and has seen other similar videos including a very political one with Hillary Clinton and President-elect Barack Obama.

1. Reaction to the Pain Olympics.
Taking Ogrish.com further, the Pain Olympics is a series of videos that feature unspeakable things people do to themselves. With “episodes” with titles like “Knife vs. Finger” and “Hatchet vs. Penis,” it is hard to miss. It is also difficult to watch. Hence, the rise of YouTube’s brand of reaction videos: reactions of people who watch the pain Olympics for the first time caught on camera. Depending on which video you watch, watching the reactions could get really entertaining. If you’ve ever stumbled upon the reaction videos, your interest will be quite piqued and am sure you’d be searching for the Pain Olympics videos yourself, but it is kind of difficult to find on YouTube, trust me, I tried.

Please see the 2 reaction videos below.
